It started with a dream…literally November 16, 2009

As the countdown to the teenage vampire flick causing hysteria across the nation,  New Moon, hits the single digits, I would feel untrue to myself if I didn’t do some kind of post about my favorite guilty pleasure.  Rather than feed into the Hollywood /paparazzi  fire, I’d like to point out Stephenie Meyer’s eloquent and illuminating interview on Oprah, last Friday. Meyer was a  stay-at-home-mom who was starting to “forget herself” in the milieu of raising three little boys when the idea for Twilight, the first of four best sellers and New Moon’s precursor, came literally, from a dream she had one night. Never having written anything before, but so intrigued by her dream, she wrote it down, and began elaborating upon it. The rest of the interview is just as interesting, and what’s better than learning that dreams can indeed come true?
